Mission Statement

The Land Development and Residential Building (LDRB) program, housed at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU), provides a comprehensive undergraduate education with theory and significant hands-on applications to prepare students for careers in the residential construction industry.  The LDRB program exemplifies academic quality in a student centered environment with industry encouragement and support and follows the intent of the MTSU Academic Master Plan.  Graduates become leaders in the home building industry through the application of honesty and dedication, and contribute to the development of environmentally sensitive, sustainable communities.  Lifelong learning is facilitated by the relationships with faculty and industry advisors.
